In this paper, you will be expected to write a research paper on the topic that you worked on for your proposal assignment-a topic that focuses on a specific gender issue. It is where you initially generated ideas about your paper topic and received instructor feedback.
The key factor in moving from research to research paper is to KNOW YOUR ARGUMENTS BEFORE YOU WRITE! If you are aware of your argumentative position and the specific points you will discuss, you will know what research material will best reinforce your position.
Your purpose in this paper is NOT to try to answer the social or moral problems of your chosen gender issue, but just to make clear where you stand on a large or small issue of importance to you, and why. The formality or informality of your argument depends upon your choice of audience, which will be tied to the topic you have chosen. Once you have chosen your topic and considered who the audience is for your argument, review your research that relates to your thesis. Your prewriting should identify contentions that support your thesis and that can be developed in greater detail in your paper.

Your paper should be a minimum of 6 pages (1,500 words) long NOT COUNTING bibliography page(s), and must include a minimum of four sources and four in-text citations.
Both the final paper and bibliography must be in proper MLA format. All papers are expected to be in MLA format, typed and double spaced, using a font and size that gives a minimum of 250 words per page.
