Differences between leadership and management


One definition of leadership states:

Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent.(Source: https://www.nwlink.com/~donclark/leader/leadcon.html)

Managers also influence their subordinates and try to accomplish specific goals and objectives. Does this mean that management and leadership are the same as far as influencing other people is concerned?
