Difference - schizoaffective disorder and schizophrenia

Problem 1: Many persons new to psychotic illnesses/thought disorders are not 100% clear on the subtle (and not so subtle) differences between schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. However, the two conditions have significant differences in treatments, observed behaviors, course of illness. Attached is a link (non-scholarly) which although a bit dated (it refers to DSM-IV criteria for schizophrenia, tying into another thread I put up outlining changes with the DSM 5) provides a good introduction to the topic. Please consider crafting responses exploring how increased awareness of the differences between these two conditions will impact future counselors.

Problem 2: Below is a link to a video simulating the hypothetical experiences of an actively psychotic person with schizophrenia going to the pharmacy.

Please view the video, and share any comments that come to mind. The video usually has a pretty powerful impact upon most who view it.

I want to warn everyone in advance that the public comments below the video window are 'R' rated. You do not have to view them if you do not wish to. However, while some are offensive, they are certainly not out of line with statements you will hear in mental health care settings.
