Respond to this: One social justice issue that I have always been interested in is the difference between high-class and low-class education systems. Your neighborhood or your income shouldn't dictate what level of experience and education you receive. There is a deep level of unfairness in how opportunities are distributed; they are more focused on keeping the rich, rich and the poor, poor. Schools in wealthier neighborhoods often have updated buildings and classrooms, advanced courses, and extracurricular programs that allow students to strive, whether that's in sports or for their futures. When schools in a lower-income area have overcrowded classrooms, generic courses, and don't allow their students to strive simply because their income won't suffice. Students in any area, regardless of their wealth, deserve the chance to strive and have opportunities to take them above and beyond. But our system is built on keeping a cycle. This imbalance is not based on a student's effort, potential or IQ, but based on their family's income and neighborhood, to enforce the continuous cycle of inequality and make social mobility more difficult.
