Difference between components and resolved parts:
1. When the force is resolved into two parts along the two mutually perpendicular directions, the parts along those directions are called as resolved parts. When the force is split into two parts along the two directions not at right angles to each other, those parts are called as component of force. And process is called as composition of a force.
2. All resolved parts are components, but all the components are not resolved parts.
3. The resolved parts of force in given direction do not represent the whole effect of force in that direction.
