Since the late 1970s, unionization rates have fallen dramatically in U.S. relative to Canada even though Canada gives more social services through the government than US. In general, do you expect countries which provide social services (like health care) and employment protection (e.g. minimum wages) through government to have stronger or weaker unions? What might discuss the difference between Canada and the US?
