Question 1: Difference between a hub and a switch in a LAN. Draw a diagram of each, and then mark it to show some of the points that you have made in your discussion of the differences.
Question 2: Suppose that you are a hacker trying to hack into a password-protected system. Given that the passwords can be anywhere from 1 to 13 characters including special characters long and the passwords are alphanumeric, how many possible passwords are there? From ASCII table determine the total number of possible characters for this purpose. Give reasons for selecting the character set. If it takes you 1 millisecond to check one password on average, how long will it take you to check all possible passwords? If it takes you 100 microseconds to check one password on average, then how long will it take?
