We are bombarded with scientific related news every day and, as a scientist, you need to be aware of the latest developments and current trends. This assignment will help you develop scientific literacy by having you read news and articles and will give you an appreciation for how science is helping to shape the modern world.
Task: For this assignment you must read FOUR science-related news stories or articles. These articles can be any media source or scientific journal. For each article you will supply the following information on a document submitted on the Canvas Assignment page:
• Author of the article or story
• Title of the article
• Source
• one to two statements of what you found interesting about the story or article
Skills: By completing this assignment, you will have the opportunity to practice reading and summarizing scientific news articles. This task will heighten your awareness of the science happening around you every day and enhance your ability to engage with scientific media.
