On completion of this subject students will be able to:
a) Develop and demonstrate skills to prepare a project proposal, project specification, identify appropriate organization(s) and negotiate terms of agreement
b) Develop and demonstrate skills in time and project management
c) Demonstrate communication and team skills to research and prepare a report
e) Demonstrate ability to evaluate current practices and develop solutions to industry problems
f) Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills by researching, preparing and presenting an oral and written report
Includes:
• researching and identifying businesses that are meeting current industry challenges using innovative practices
• preparing a proposal, developing and negotiating project specifications and methodology
• project and time management
• business communication and team skills including ethics and confidentiality issues
• data collection and assessment
• business report writing protocols appropriate to the subject
