Develop a structure chart that clearly satisfies the goals

Assignment:

Overview and process:

In this assignment, you will develop a baseline plan for your client's project.

Deliverables

You must develop a page plan that includes at least the following sections:

Project Scope (both whats in and out):

The first page of your plan should include a clear scope statement consisting of three sections: (a) project description, (b) preliminary feature list, (c) exclusion list (what the project IS NOT). Feel free to use some of your client's verbiage from their RFP, especially for the list of features, but you must go beyond this, incorporating your understanding and assumptions about the project.

Feature Chart:

For the page of your plan, apply the techniques of partitioning (functional decomposition) described by your instructor to your client's scope description from their RFP. Do your best to develop a structure chart that clearly satisfies the goals of your client, but do not just put each feature in its own box. Instead, try to organize things logically, based upon coupling and cohesion.

Additional Project Issues:

The third page of your plan should contain three sections as follows:

• Quality - Write a one paragraph description of how you plan to measure, track, and manage quality for the project.

• Risk Table - Describe, in tabular form, each of the major risks of the project. The table should have four columns: (a) identify and briefly describe the risk, (b) who the risk involves, (c) the probability of occurrence, and (d) a mitigation approach.

• Procurement - Write a one paragraph description of the major human and information technology resources required for the project. Consider resources required for development as well as production/operations.
