As you have learned throughout your program and as a refresher this week, there are literally thousands of medical terms and abbreviations that are in the health care field. If we narrow this down specifically to medical coding and reimbursement, it is important to have a resource or tool that will be valuable to you when on the job to refer to especially as a new employee.
Construct a resource that will contain common health care coding and reimbursement-specific terms to use as a reference.
Include the following aspects in this assignment:
Determine which application and layout will work best to create resource This may be a Word document using a chart or table, an Excel sheet, PowerPoint slide, or other application of your choice.
Create a list of 15 to 20 key reference terms or abbreviations and provide the meanings of your selections.
Share how this resource will be beneficial for you on the job as a new medical coder or reimbursement specialist.
