Shared Writing: Canada's World War, 1939-1945 Canada emerged as "a nation to be reckoned with on the world stage" during the Second World War. Despite this, there were large economic, social, and political issues that threatened to divide the country, as had occurred during the First World War. Select and emphasize one government concern about its citizens' home front behaviour during the war and develop a propaganda slogan that the Canadian government could have employed between 1939 and 1945 to affect Canadian behaviors.
