You will research a topic that has two opposing positions (for and against) and use the rational approach to develop an argument in support of one of those positions.
Gun debate: gun rights or gun control
Develop a main argument and at least two supporting arguments. The arguments require the following:
1) Your main and supporting arguments should each be a single, complete sentence.
2) Your main argument must be a clear statement that takes a position on the issue and the overarching theme of your argument. Main arguments are similar in construction to a thesis statement.
