Design an Internet protocol surveillance system for a typical family house.
Background
Digital processing systems along communication networks have made possible automated remote video security and monitoring systems. Video signals can be live transmitted over a wired or wireless network to a server or a monitor. Network cameras are designed with networking protocols and addressing features. Advanced features, like motion detection, alarming, web browsing can be added to make the Internet protocol security technique a smart surveillance system.
Procedure
1. Consider that you are designing the Internet video surveillance system for a small typical family house having two floors, three bedrooms and medium size yard. The owner wants to monitor the front and back entrances along with activities inside the house remotely using a browser.
2. Choose the appropriate type of cameras, communication network, security of transmission, handling file size and any additional security features that may serve the purpose.
