Case Study - Background Information

Yesterday, one (1) of the delivery drivers was pulled out by the police for a routine check. During the check the police discovered the driver was driving with an expired licence. The administration team revised the staff files this morning and discovered that the licence expiry date was recorded on the file, but there was no active process to ensure drivers renew their licence as required.

1. Develop a formal consultation process for employees to contribute to work processes related to their work role. E.g.: Consultation process with employees to seek the most efficient process to track Drivers licences for maintaining their currency

2. Develop below a formal process for escalating issues or refer to relevant personnel

E.g.: Process with identified key trigger points for escalation, such as dates for renewal/ dates for renewal of contract based on compliance etc... 

3. Implement process to manage ideas and information (Via Email)

You are required to implement the process you developed in Question 2 via email.

Draft an email to all NCT Admin staff, on a process you are implementing which outlines each of the following dot points and is signed off by you, the "NCT Operations Manager":

  • How the process will support the admin team to achieve their work responsibilities
  • How the process will facilitate employee's contributions to consultation on work admin issues
  • How feedback on the outcomes of consultations will be provided
  • How raised Admin issues will be resolved or referred to relevant personnel
