Determinism principle
It is the principle that if one knows the state to an infinite accuracy of a system at one point in time, one would be capable to know about the state of that system along infinite accuracy at any other time, past or future. For instance, if one were to know all of the positions & velocities of all of the particles within a closed system, then determinism would mean that one could then predict the positions & velocities of those particles at any other time. It principle has been disfavored due to the advent of quantum mechanics, where probabilities take an significant part in the actions of the subatomic world, & the uncertainty principle means that one cannot know the position and velocity both of a particle to arbitrary precision.
