A delivery company tried to deliver a package to Barnes’s home. Barnes was not at home, so the delivery company left the package on the front porch of the neighbor’s home. The package was stolen from the neighbor’s porch. Was the neighbor a bailee of the package? Would your answer be any different if the neighbor had previously told the delivery company that it could leave packages on his porch if Barnes were not at home?
