Determining the angular speed of the rod

A thin rod of length 1.589 m is oriented vertically, with its bottom end joined to the floor by means of the frictionless hinge. The mass of the rod might be avoided, compared to the mass of an object fixed to the top of the rod. The rod, beginning from rest, tips over and rotates downward.

(i) Determine the angular speed of the rod just before it strikes the floor?

(ii) Determine the magnitude of the angular acceleration of the rod just before it hits the floor?
