Determine which types of natural disasters are the most

Develop a personal disaster preparedness plan.

1. Determine which types of natural disasters are the most common for the region in which you live (two to three natural disasters). Describe them in at least one paragraph.
2. Find out which government or private agencies and organizations have information on disasters for your area. State them and include contact information (website, mailing address, phone number(s), etc). 
3. Develop a written plan for how you will prepare in advance for the most likely disaster(s) that may occur in your area. Describe this plan in at least two paragraphs.
4. Develop a written plan for how you will communicate with others during the most likely disaster(s) in your area. Identify who you will communicate with, and why. Be sure to include alternative approaches since standard communication channels are often disrupted by a natural disaster.
5. Develop a written plan for what you will do after a disaster strikes. Describe the plan in at least two paragraphs.
6. Include in your written plans a process for teaching the plan to other family members/friends/roommates, and how the plan will be periodically updated. Describe in at least a paragraph. 

This plan should be at least two and no more than four pages in length, including a page for references.
