Determine what minimum initial speed did the player require

In trying to pass the puck to a teammate, a hockey player gives it an initial speed of 1.7m/s, but since of the kinetic friction among the puck and the ice, the puck travels only half the distance between the players prior to coming to rest. Supposing that the ice's friction is similar everywhere, determine what minimum initial speed did the player require to give the puck in order for it to arrive at the teammate?
