Determine the temperature distribution in the wall

Consider transient heat conduction in a plane wall of width 12cm whose left surface (node 0) is maintained at 0'C while the right surface (node 6) is subjected to a solar heat flux of 1200W/m^2. The wall is initially at a uniform temperature of 0'C. (a) Develop the explicit finite difference formulation for this wall for the case of no heat generation but with the indicated solar flux. (b) Determine the temperature distribution in the wall for 200 time steps, selecting a time step which satisfies the stability criterion. Plot these results in some appropriate manner. (c) Plot the temperature at the right surface as a function of time. (d) Select a different time step from the one chosen in part(b) which does not satisfy the stability criterion and plot those results. Discuss the differences from the above results. (e) Develop an implicit solution to this problem and show its results.
