Determine the strength of the concrete with an existing

INTRODUCTION:

At the initial stage of the coursework it was provided with two different tasks. As we brief the tasks, the task 1 contains two different sections in which we calculate the area of the steel which is been required for a provided load of a simply supported beam and also a continuous beam.

In the next part a slab which is flat is been designed with provided thickness and amount of load, and then a design is been done of a column of a ground floor only.

In the next task also there are two different sections in which in the first part we discuss about the thermal cracking and also shrinkage cracking in which we discuss on how its been caused, remediation methods , effects on the construction and prevention methods.

In the final part a brief report is been written on the topic of None Destructive Test which is also called as an Rebound Hammer.

Aim:

Determine the strength of the concrete with an existing slab, beam and column using Rebound Hammer Device.
Apparatus Required:
-Rebound Hammer
Procedure:

1) Make sure the surface is been kept clean.

2) The Rebound Hammer is been operated.

3) According to the member type the Rebound Hammer is been adjusted.

4) In case of slab the equipment is been used vertical and different values are been taken.

5) In the case of beam and column it acts horizontal and the values are been taken.
