Introduction
The purpose of this project is to get you familiar in designing an IT infrastructure for the organization you researched in the first project. The organization you selected in the first project already has an IT infrastructure, however, the purpose for this assignment is for you to design your own IT infrastructure as if you had the chance to do so from scratch.
Requirements
Research the organization you selected and determine the IT Architecture requirements in the following categories: Software, Data, Network, Services, and Hardware. Be as detailed as possible.
Software
You need to determine the software the organization needs for its core and supporting business processes. Some of the questions you need to answer in this category are the following, but not limited to:
• What software do you need for the core business processes?
• What software do you need for the supporting business processes?
• An estimate of the number of licenses you need for each software/application
• An estimate of the cost for software licensing
• For each of the software needed, do you recommend to buy an off-the-shelf software, develop an in-house solution, or use a SaaS model?
Data
You need to determine the data the organization needs for its core and supporting business processes. You must also consider any regulations the organization is subject to that will have an impact in the retention, control, security, and any other factors in thehandling of the data. You also need to recommend the IT infrastructure model that is best for the organization (e.g. in-house datacenter or cloud model). You may also suggest a database management system (DBMS) that is appropriate for the organization.
Network
Considering the nature of the organization in question, you need to answer the following questions:
• What network topology do you recommend?
• What kind of network security is needed?
• Do you need a DMZ?
• What kind of network cables do you recommend?
• What about their bandwidth for the internal network and internet access?
Services
Determine the services that organization needs. These services include: e-mail, website, file server, active directory, etc. Consider any specialty services that the organization may need. In your discussion you should specify which services to be hosted internally or outsourced?
Hardware
End User Devices
In this section you need to specify the kind and quantity of end user devices that you recommend. You must also provide the minimum specifications for the end user devices, you can estimate this information by looking at the software and networking needed.
Project Deliverables
You must provide a single document (7-10 pages) providing a description of your proposed architecture. The architecture must include the sections mentioned above and a total estimated cost of your proposed architecture. The cost must provide a grand total and subtotals for the different sections listed above.

1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
