Air enters the compressor of an ideal-gas refrigeration cycle at 270 K and 110 kPa and the turbine at 325 K and 440 kPa respectively. The mass flow rate of air through the cycle is 0.5 kg/s. Assuming a constant pressure specific heat for air of cp = 1.005 kJ/kg.K, and the ratio of specific heats k = 1.4, determine: the rate of refrigeration and the net power input.
