Determine the ph of water in a closed calcium carbonate

a- You are being asked to calculate the pH of a drop of pure rainwater at a temperature of 25oC. The total air pressure is 1 atm, and the raindrop is in equilibrium with the atmosphere. You may assume that the CO2 gas is equal to 400 ppmv. In order to get full credit for this problem you must list all unknown species that would exist in the raindrop and all pertinent equations regardless of their level of significance. You must algebraically solve the equations to determine pH.

b- Determine the pH of the raindrop if the CO2 concentration is 600 ppmv and 1,000,000 ppmv.

c- Determine the pH of water in a closed Calcium Carbonate Aquifer. Assume that the temperature is again 25oC, and that the aquifer material is pure Calcium Carbonate. Again you must list all species that exist in the system and all equations.
