• diameter = 1.2 meters

1. Determine the momentum of the asteroid.

2. Given that the diameter of the asteroid above, calculate its density using the following additional information. Assume the asteroid is spherical so we can use the relationship of radius to volume for a sphere to calculate the volume: volume of sphere = 4/3 • p • r³. Use this relationship to find the volume of the asteroid given the diameter of the asteroid. Remember that diameter of a sphere is twice the radius. Report your calculated density in kg/m3 and in g/cm3.

3. How does the density of this asteroid compare to the density of water? Would you expect your asteroid to float or sink in water based upon your calculations?
