A portable crushing plant is equipped with these units: One jaw crusher, size 15 X 30 in. One roll crusher, size 30 X 22 in. One set of horizontal vibrating screens, two decks, with 1
- and 3/4-in. openings.
The specifications require that 100% of the aggregate shall pass a 1-in. screen and 50% shall pass a 
-in. screen.
Assume that 10% of the stone from the quarry will be smaller than 14 in. and that this aggregate will be removed by passing the quarry product over the screen before sending it to the jaw crusher. The crushed aggregate will weigh 110 lb/ef.
Determine the maximum output of the plant, expressed in tons per hour. Include the aggregate removed by the screens prior to sending it to the crushers.
