Consider an air standard Otto cycle with a compression ratio of 8. The engine inlet conditions are P=100 kPa, T=290K, and the bottom dead center volume is 400 cm3. If the maximum temperature of the cycle is 2200K, determine: (a) the heat addition in kJ, (b) the net work in kJ, (c) the thermal efficiency (%), and (d) the mean effective pressure in kPa. Use variable specific heats.
