Determine the formula for poiseuille-s law


Poiseuille's Law provides rate of flow, R, of gas through the cylindrical pipe in terms of radius of pipe, r, for the fixed drop in pressure between two ends of pipe.

(a) Determine the formula for Poiseuille's Law, provided that rate of flow is proportional to fourth power of radius. Use k for proportionality constant.

(b) If R = 400 cm3/sec in the pipe of radius 2 cm for the certain gas, determine the formula for rate of flow of that gas through pipe of radius r.

(c) Find the rate of flow of same gas through the pipe of radius 5? Provide the exact answer.
