Dave has inherited the apple orchard on which 60 trees are planted. Under such conditions, every tree yields 12 bushels of apples. According to local WSU extension agent, every time Dave removes the tree the yield per tree will go up 0.45 bushels. Let x be number of trees in orchard and N yield per tree.

(a) Determine the formula for N in terms of unknown x. Create the table of data with 1 column representing different values of x and other column corresponding values of N. After you complete first few rows of table, you require to discover pattern.

(b) What possible reasons might describe why yield goes up when you remove trees?
