Determine the enthalpy charge for the incomplete combustion

Determine the enthalpy charge for the incomplete combustion of methane (CH4) from the following data. (Hint: You will need to write the balanced overall reaction, remembering that incomplete combustion results in production of carbon monoxide. In this problem use the water formed from the combustion in liquid form.)

(a) CO (g) + 1/2 O2 (g) -> CO2 (g)                      ΔH= -283.0 kJ

(b) CH4 (g) + 2 O2 (g) ->CO2 (g) + 2 H2O (l)    ΔH = -890.3 kJ
