POPs, COPS, and Zero-Tolerance Police Criminal Justice Policies
Community-oriented policing (COPS), problem-oriented policing (POPs), and the zero-tolerance policing concepts are three criminal justice policy initiatives that were a major change from the traditional policing concepts of the 1970s.
Marion and Oliver (2012) talk to each of these policies in Chapter 10 of The Public Policy of Crime and Criminal Justice.
