To complete your physics master's degree, your advisor has design a small, linear accelerator capable of emitting protons, each having a kinetic energy of 11.5 keV. (The mass of a single proton is 1.67 x 10-27 kg.) Moreover, 1.00 x 109 protons per second should reach the target at the end of the 1.70 m long accelerator.

(i) Determine the average power which should be delivered to the stream of protons?

(ii) What force (supposed constant) should be applied to each and every proton?

(iii) What speed does each proton achieve just before it strikes the target, supposing the protons begin from rest?
