Geologic Time - Relative and Absolute Dating Understand the geologic principles relationships (unconformities, principles of cross-cutting, etc.) and how they are used in Relative Dating
Know the types of unconformities and be able to recognize them in a core cross-section
Be able to determine the sequence of events within a cross-section that includes faults, igneous dikeslplutons, folding, tilting, erosion, etc.
Radiometric Dating: what is a half-life, radioisotope, how the ratio of parent to daughter can be used to determine the age a rock using the half-life of a radioisotope.
Be able to calculate parent daughter percentages from amounts given to you.
