A short cylinder ( rho = 8000 kg/m3, k = 400 W/m-K, CP = 400 J/kg-K) 200 mm long and 80 mm in diameter is initially at a uniform temperature of 25 degree C It is then suddenly exposed to a convective environment at T infinity = 100 degree C with a heat transfer coefficient h =1000 W/m2-K. Determine the temperature at the center point of the cylinder 2 minutes after sudden application of the heat using the product solution method.  Determine the temperature at the center point of the cylinder 2 minutes after sudden application of the heat using the lumped method. C. Comment on the appropriateness of each method.
