Determine speed of the electron and current wire

An electron is moving in a plane with a long straight current carrying wire. The electron is heading at a 45 angle directly toward the wire when it is 50cm away; the electron reaches only as close as 1.0 cm, before being repelled away, always moving in the same plane. If the electron has an initail speed of 3.4 x 10^6 m/s, determine

(a) the current in the wire?

(b) the speed of the electron at its point of closest approach?
