Explain the tapping operation and the steps to follow Peripheral milling is performed on the top surface of a rectangular work part that is 400mm long by 50mm wide. The milling cutter is 70mm in diameter and had five teeth. It overhangs the width of the part on both sides. Cutting speed is 60m/min, chip load is 0.25mm/tooth, and depth of cut is 6.50mm. Determine (a) machining time of the operations and (b) maximum material removal rate during the cut.
