A 20 meter length of wire carrying a current of around 9 A lies on the horizontal table having a rectangular top of dimensions 1.20 m x 1.60 m. The ends of the wire are joined to opposite ends of the diagonal of the rectangle. The vertical magnetic field of 0.80 T is present. Determine magnetic force which acts on this segment of wire?

i) 20 N

ii) 140 N

iii) 14 N

iv) Zero

v) The force can’t be determined devoid of knowing the shape of the length of wire.
