Determine how long is the arm of the centrifuge

In a large centrifuge employed for training pilots and astronauts, a small chamber is fixed at the end of a rigid arm which rotates in a horizontal circle. A trainee riding in the chamber of a centrifuge rotating having a constant angular speed of 2.2 rad/s experiences a centripetal acceleration of 3.6 times the acceleration due to gravity. In the second training exercise, the centrifuge speeds up from rest having a constant angular acceleration. If the centrifuge reaches an angular speed of 2.2 rad/s, the trainee undergoes a net acceleration equivalent to 4.9 times the acceleration due to gravity.

(i) Determine how long is the arm of the centrifuge?

(ii) Determine the angular acceleration (magnitude) of the centrifuge in the second training exercise?
