Determine how high will the other ball go up

The two similar steel balls, each of mass 2.9 kg, are hanged from strings of length 30 cm so that they touch when in their equilibrium position. We pull one of the balls back till its string makes an angle of 37° with the vertical and let it go. This collides elastically with the other ball.

i) Determine how high will the other ball go up?

ii) Assume that rather than steel balls we employ putty balls. They will collide in elastically and remain stuck altogether after the collision. Determine how high will the balls increase after the collision?
