A swimmer, capable of swimming at a speed of v =1.4m/s in still water (id, the swimmer can swim having a speed of v =1.4m/s relative to the water), begins to swim directly across a river which is w = 2.8km wide. Though, the current consists of a velocity of v = 0.91m/s perpendicular to the swimmer and carries her downstream. Determine how long does it take the swimmer to cross the river? Determine how far down stream will the swimmer be upon reaching the other side of the river? The sides of the riverbank are precisely parallel.
