Determine diameter of pipeline and mass flow rate of water

An amusement park at the bottom of Niagara falls wants to install a water turbine to produce 100 kW power. Water (assume to be incompressible) would enter the pipeline leading to the turbine at 20 °C and 0.101325 MPa at the top of the falls, 51 m above the turbine exit, with a velocity of 3 m/s. The water should leave the turbine at 20 °C, 0.101325 MPa and with a velocity of 3 m/s. There is no considerable heat transfer in the pipeline and turbine. Make use suitable assumptions for the turbine and refer to the NIST online database to get the enthalpy and density of water for the given conditions. a. Determine the mass flow rate of the water in kg/min. b. Determine the diameter of the pipeline.
