Determine cart-s velocity if balls are projected one by one

A cart with a mass of 45 kg is standing stationary on a smooth floor. Three balls, each weighing 5 kg, are inside the cart and can be projected horizontally by a mechanism in the cart at a velocity of VB. The mass of the balls is in addition to the mass of the cart.

1. Determine the cart's velocity if the balls are projected one by one at a velocity VB = 3.5 m/s relative to the cart.

2. If the second ball was projected after first ball has travelled 1m horizontally in the air, calculate the distance travelled by the cart until the second ball is projected.

3. Determine the cart's velocity if all three balls were projected at once at a velocity of 3.5 m/s when the cart is initially stationary.
