Determine amount of heat transferred during the process


The free-moving piston-cylinder device shown contains 5kg of hydrogen initially at a temperature of 400°C. When 4000kJ of shaft work is transferred to the hydrogen, the temperature rises to 450°C. Determine the amount of heat transferred (kJ) during the process. Treat the Hydrogen as an ideal gas and use constant specific heats at the average temperature.
