Value of Determination
Determination is the act of patience of doing something and staying on task. I saw a lot of determination in my family, especially my dad who had gone through my mom depression's period. My dad and the family never give up on my mom, but instead, keep on supporting her through the tough time. During that period, my mom was extremely depressed and scared of interacting with other relatives and friends. My dads never raise his voice or show any signs of disappointment in my mom, which I was astonished to witnessed. Without my mom's financial support, my dad decided to work extra overtime in order to support the family. My dad takes over the role of cooking and taking care of my mom; my brother and I were in charge of cleaning. My mom finally won her battle with depression and went off her medication that year thanks to our family determination and helpfulness.
