Designing a pump station to convey wastewater

Designing a pump station to convey wastewater to an equalization tank with proper diameter pipe to the nearest 2".

An engineer is tasked with designing a pump station to convey wastewater at a flow rate of 250 m3/hr, to an equalization tank. A velocity of as a minimum 3 ft/s must be maintained in the pipe to prevent deposition and give scouring of any previously-deposited solids. However, a maximum velocity of 10 ft/s is prescribed to prevent over sizing the pumps. Due to the nature of the wastewater, the engineer wants to target the high end of this range. Find the proper diameter pipe to the nearest 2" (e.g., 2", 4", 6", 8", 10", etc.) to achieve this plan objective.
