Workplace Presentation - Social Etiquette Course Proposal

The purpose of the assessment is to assess your group on their ability to present proposals effectively in a workplace.

Presentations are widely used in the work place in briefing colleagues, in presenting proposals, in group reporting, in marketing products and in workplace training.

This task is intended to provide the opportunity for students to demonstrate:

  • their understanding of presentation theory;
  • their ability to present information to an uninformed audience;
  • their ability to develop a practical ICT product, a presentation instructional product (PIP).

Each group of 3-4 students is to deliver a presentation to the class during the Week 12 tutorial. The topic may be selected from the list provided on 'Etiquette Essentials'. Alternatively, a different topic that addresses some aspect of workplace may be chosen, provided it is first approved by the tutor. The topic chosen should serve the purpose of both the group report as well as PowerPoint presentation for Assignment 2.
