I. In the summer of 2014, a Georgia high school teen died after a day of football practice. 17-year old Zyrees Oliver complained of cramping during practice and subsequently drank two gallons of water and two more gallons of sports drink. When he couldn't drive himself home afterward, his mother picked him up from practice; he later collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital via helicopter. Doctors reported that Oliver suffered swelling around the brain. How would you explain Oliver's swelling and his cause of death?
II. Design an experiment to determine the percent sucrose of an unknown solution using the same or similar materials as the investigation. Be sure to describe your independent and dependent variables, as well as your controls.
