Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector Final Project

You will design a nonprofit organization (NPO). Utilize the Information Found onwww.saveoursons.webs.com to help develop for Save Our Sons Inc. is the nonprofit we are challenged to reorganize. You can look for other youth organizations to help fill out ideas, references and citations. The Final Project is due on Sauturday May 16th at 5pm New York Time.

You will describe various aspects of the NPO that correspond to the topical themes of the course. As you progress through the reading and assignments in the course, think about how you might want to develop your Final Project. The Learning Resources, the Discussions, and the Application Assignments all will assist you in completing each section of the Final Project.

Your Final Project will contain the following sections on the organization you would create:

Mission, Vision, and Function

Legal Considerations

Ethical Dilemmas

Board of Directors

Your Final Project must demonstrate both breadth and depth of knowledge and critical thinking appropriate to graduate-level scholarship. It must follow APA Publication Manual guidelines and be free of typographical, spelling, and grammatical errors. The project should be 8-10 pages in length (double-spaced), not including the title page, the abstract, and references.

Be sure to support your Final Project with specific references to all resources used in its preparation.

Final Project Guidelines

For your Final Project, you will select either the nonprofit organization you created for your Final Project in NPMG 6200: Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector, or create a new nonprofit organization. You will describe the organization and its need for board governance and nongoverning volunteers based on organizational planning. You will also apply tools and strategies for board and nongoverning volunteer recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation.

As you progress through the reading and assignments in the course, think about your Final Project. The Learning Resources, Discussions, and Application Assignments will assist you in completing each section of the Final Project.

Your Final Project should be presented as an 8- to 10-page (excluding references, title page, or abstract), double-spaced, APA-formatted project in the form of a paper

The Final Project must include:

• The name and brief description of your organization (including programs and services).

• The mission and vision of your organization.

• An organizational plan. (You are not required to design a specific plan, but based on your organizational description and mission, create a list of board member and nongoverning volunteer needs.)

• A description of the specific tools and strategies you would use to recruit:
