1. TRANSFORMER: 120V/12.6 3A CT

a) Is this a step up or step down transformer?

b) What is the turns ratio of this transformer?

c) When a full load resistor network is connected to the transformer, what resistance is seen at the primary of the transformer?

d) What efficiency would you expect from the transformer you have selected? Why?

e) What happens if a user accidently switches the primary and secondary windings of the transformer?

2. Design a load resistor (resistance rating and power rating) network to have the transformer operate at full load. Design a second network for half load. You may need to combine several resistors to get the desired value. Use resistors on the list of available resistors from the lecture.
